Preparing for Christmas
As we prepare for Christmas in our parishes you are invited to join us and celebrate the great feast of God-among-us. This year will be a little different due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings in order to continue to keep our communities safe and healthy.
We are asking all parishioners to get involved in helping us to make this Christmas a joyful celebration, while also ensuring that we are COVID-19 safe.
The first thing we are asking everyone to do is to plan their Christmas Mass attendance and to book in advance. This will mean that we can do our best to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to attend a Christmas Mass. We will be celebrating more Christmas Masses than usual and invite you to look at a time and Church that will be suitable for your family and that can accommodate you.
Second we are looking for people to join our Welcome and Safeguarding Teams which will be set up for each Mass. People on these teams will be asked to assist in welcoming parishioners, marking of registrations, ushering people to their seats, cleaning up and setting up the Church for the next Mass. This is a special request for this year and something in which you and your family members might like to consider being involved. If you are able to assist please contact the Parish Office and ensure that you book into the Mass for which you can offer assistance.
Third we are asking that you pass on this information to as many of your family and friends who might normally attend Mass at our parishes. In order to accommodate as many people as possible we need everyone to book in advance and to ensure that they have received confirmation of their booking. Below is the link to Mass times and locations and to the TryBooking page where you can make your Christmas Mass booking.
Help us prepare for a joyful and safe Christmas in three easy ways:
- Plan your Christmas Mass attendance and book in advance.
- Pass on this information to family and friends who might attend our parishes.
- Volunteer your services to assist in a Welcome and Safeguarding Team.
