School Voices

At Our Lady’s Primary School, we pride ourselves on providing a wide range of educational opportunities for all our students.  Educating the whole child is foundational to our work and that is why we are constantly seeking ways to enrich the learning experience for all our students.

Primary school is all about providing opportunity, developing curiosity, positive learning dispositions and realising potential.  Therefore, a balanced learning program caters for the rich diversity that exists in schools.

Most recently we have celebrated exceptional NAPLAN results, of this we are proud, and also very proud of the amazing success of our Year 3 /4 Hoop Time Team.  This team of talented young people will represent our school at the Victorian State Championships later in November.  We have a strong sports program at OLPS and are very grateful to our community for their ongoing support of the numerous events our students have the opportunity to participate in.

Developing the artistic talents of our students is also a big part of our learning program.  Our Arts Carnival: Light up the Arts will take place on Thursday, 17 November from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.  This twilight event will show case the visual arts skills, dance, performance and musical talents of our young people.  Download the flyer for further information.

During the Arts Carnival, we will also officially unveil our community mural.  The words on the mural are a visible illustration of who we are as a community; people of faith, hope, love, kindness and respect.
