Schools celebrate Mother’s Day

Our Holy Redeemer School

On Friday the children spent time shopping for mum at the annual Mothers’ Day Stall. It’s always wonderful to see so many excited faces! Regardless of whether the children are in Prep or Year 6, they always take great pleasure in pondering over, and purchasing, that special gift for mum.

This Thursday our mums are invited to attend the OHR Mothers’ Day Paint and Sip Night. This promises to be an enjoyable celebration where the mums will spend the evening sipping their favourite beverage while painting their very own masterpiece @345 Art Creative. They will receive expert guidance from an experienced artist and, at the end of the night, will get to take home their completed masterpiece. Should be a lot of fun.

During the week our students engaged in a variety of activities where they created something special for their mums. In the following images the students painted wrapping paper for their bookmarks.

The OLGC staff hosted a Mother’s Day breakfast to celebrate our OLGC mothers. Students joined at the end of the breakfast to sing to their mothers and present their cards. It was lovely to also be joined by some of our parish mums and Father Brendan and Father Trac. Students had an opportunity throughout the day to buy presents at our Mother’s Day stall.

We wish all those in our school and parish communities a lovely Mother’s Day.
