Staying Connected during lockdown

With the announcement by the Acting Premier that Victoria will enter into a seven-day lockdown in order to contain the current spread of Covid-19, I want to assure you that our parish is still here for you.

With the closure of places of worship, weekday and Sunday Masses will not be celebrated in our churches during this period. Weddings and baptisms are postponed and funerals are permitted but numbers are limited to no more than 10 mourners.

The Archdiocese of Melbourne will continue to live-stream Mass, daily at 1.00 pm and Sunday at 11.00 am.  Sunday Mass will also be televised on free-to-air TV on C31 (channel 44 on digital TV).

First Eucharist celebrations that were planned for this Sunday, 30 May have been postponed until Sunday, 20 June and families have been contacted and advised of these changes.  Please continue to keep these children and their families in your prayers.

Your parish is keen to stay connected so please stay in contact with us:

  • Our weekly Newsletter will be delivered to your inbox each week to keep you up to date with news across our parishes and diocese.  Should you know anyone who would like to receive our newsletter, please ask them to subscribe here.
  • The Parish Office will be closed during this time, however you will be able to contact our priests and staff by either telephone or email.
  • For parishioners seeking urgent pastoral care, please call the Parish Office on either 98902510 or 98169291 and leave a message.  The answering machine will be checked regularly during this time.

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to be a challenge to all communities.  Thank you for your understanding of the current arrangements to ensure we continue to stay safe.
