Sacrament of Marriage

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to another person. It is also a public statement about God.

In a sacramental marriage, we believe that God’s love becomes present to the spouses in their total union and also flows through them to their family and community.
