Book Launch – Does Sin Matter?

Fr Frank O’Loughlin has wasted no time since he came to live and work among us in 2020.  Last year he launched Gathering the People of God.  This year Fr Frank will launch his new book Does Sin Matter? Separation, Reconciliation, Redemption.

When asked why he wrote on ‘sin’ Fr Frank reflected that the way Catholic Christians have thought about and dealt with sin has become inadequate and lacks credibility in our day.  Yet, it is an important dimension of the Biblical world and the Christian tradition.  Therefore, it is important to revisit the notion of sin and forgiveness.  It is equally important to look at how we ritually acknowledge and celebrate sin and forgiveness.

Does Sin Matter? will be launched on Wednesday, 31 August at 7.00 pm in the Gathering Space at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 10 Whitehorse Road, Deepdene.  RSVP by completing the online registration form:

  • Wednesday 21 September: The Future of Sin!

These will take place from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm at Our Holy Redeemer Church, 4 Barton Street, Surrey Hills.  No registration required.
