School Voices

On Wednesday, 19 May, Grandparents and Special Friends were invited to attend a Liturgy led by the students of Our Lady’s Primary School, Surrey Hills. This day aligned with Family Week, and was a wonderful opportunity to come back together as a community as this event was missed by many last year. Father Brendan and Father Trac led the service with readings read by students from Prep to Year 6. The students shared reflections of special memories with their grandparents and special friends, reflected on the Gospel of the Beatitudes, and read prayers of gratitude for the special people in their lives.

After the Mass, students invited their Grandparents and Special Friends to the classroom for a range of activities, including an interview where they compared classroom experiences to their grandchildren. It was a special celebration, with smiles, laughter and joy shared by all.
