School Voices

It has been a busy few weeks at OHR Primary School with many activities.

Recently our students participated in the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence.  This was our sixth consecutive year participating in this nationwide event which aims to connect school communities to find workable solutions to prevent bullying.  Our involvement in this event supports the daily social emotional learning our students receive whilst bringing our school community together to help find solutions to address bullying and promote the message that ‘bullying and violence are not okay’.

This was followed by our Year 5/6 students attending the National Young Leaders Day at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.  Our students joined thousands of other student leaders from throughout Victoria and were privileged to hear stories and advice on leadership from some outstanding guest speakers including Clare Campbell, Lachie Smart, Damien Fleming and Guy Edmonds.

Our House Sports Carnival is coming up at the end of March and our physical education classes have been spent in preparation.  Our students have been giving the activities and athletic events their best effort and we look forward to a fun filled day for all.
